Description View at anchor off Southampton drying sails.
Biographical Note / History Paddle steamer built in 1837. She was bought by P&O Co. at the end of 1838. Her terminal was at Southampton, with a call at Falmouth for mails. She was a most comfortable shp for her time. She was later renamed 'Great Liverpool'. She was finally wrecked off Finisterre in 1846.
