Biographical Note / History Built by Stephens, Glasgow in 1869. Gross tons 2,253. Net tons 1,412. 400 H.P. 1,500 I.H.P. Dimensions: 305.3 x 35 x 29.5. Employed in Anchor Line services from 1869 to 1880, in Glasgow to New York trade, then mediterranean to New York services. On a voyage from Boston to London she was sunk on 6 February 1880 after a collision with the barque "Trongate".
