Description Harold Warneford Vennell arrived from England as a British Home Child in 1932. He describes his experiences as a Barnardos child migrant to Canada and explains that none of the children were told where they were going, describes the journey over in the lower decks of a ship which had just been used to transport cattle and talks about the hardship of working on a farm.
