| Description | Journal written by the Surgeon Superintendent detailing the daily life on board. During the voyage, the crew are suspected of stealing bottles of wine and some of the soldiers on board are insubordinate. Several prisoners are scalded by a malfunctioning condenser boiler and rewards are given out for good conduct. The journal also includes a list of the offences which would incur punishment and a list of those embarked on the Norwood, their nationality and schooling. |
