Description Correspondence between John Costello and William Woodlock regarding the administration of the Costello family assets in Dublin, and of John Costello's early experiences in America.
Series Description The collection consists of papers of the Costello(e) family, who came to Philadelphia from Dublin, Ireland, in 1833. It contains correspondence dealing with real estate in Ireland and other business affairs, the American Civil War, Irish politics, and family affairs. Also present are financial and legal papers, a recipe book, and unpublished poetry by James Costello of Tennessee.
